The Residence of the Governor of San Andreas, located in the historic Richman Highlands of Los Santos County, serves as the official home and estate of the sitting governor. Set on more than 12 acres of landscaped gardens, the residence functions as both a private living space and a venue for state functions, international delegations, legislative receptions, and ceremonial events.
The Residence of the Governor of San Andreas serves as the official and permanent home of the Governor for the full duration of their term in office. As the designated domicile of the state’s chief executive, the residence provides a secure, dignified, and functional environment in which the Governor carries out both the personal and public responsibilities of the office. Situated in the Richman Highlands of Los Santos County, the estate occupies approximately twelve acres of landscaped grounds and stands as a visible symbol of the authority, continuity, and institutional stability of the Executive Department.
Constructed in 1927 by architect Henry Westcott, the mansion exemplifies Tudor Revival architecture, featuring limestone masonry, steep slate roofing, and historically significant window designs. It was acquired by the State of San Andreas in 1954 and designated as the official executive residence, establishing a long-standing tradition in which every sitting Governor assumes residence on the grounds for the entirety of their tenure.
The interior of the estate includes a series of formal and administrative spaces intended to support the daily functions of the Executive Department. These include the State Dining Hall for official dinners and bipartisan meetings; the Governor’s Library, which contains historical records and policy archives; the Reception Hall and Grand Ballroom for ceremonial events; and the Executive Office Suite, a fully equipped working space that allows the Governor to conduct state business outside of the Capitol. Private living quarters, located in secured areas of the residence, serve as the Governor’s primary home throughout their term.
The grounds surrounding the mansion feature terraced gardens, formal walkways, a central courtyard, and preserved natural areas reflecting the historical character of the estate. Additional facilities include guest accommodations for visiting dignitaries and a secure helipad used for official travel and emergency operations. While the residence remains a restricted-access property, designated portions of the grounds may be opened periodically for public tours, educational programs, and charitable events administered by the Office of Public Engagement.
Security and operational oversight are jointly managed by the San Andreas State Police, Executive Protection Division. This agency maintain comprehensive protective measures, ensure the safety of residents and visitors, and coordinate transportation and logistical needs. Maintenance, preservation, and administrative operations are overseen by the Office of the Governor, in partnership with state conservators and historic preservation specialists.
As the permanent home of the Governor during their term of service, the residence plays an essential role in the functioning of the Executive Department. It serves not only as a private dwelling but also as a center of governance, diplomacy, and civic representation, embodying the history, values, and traditions of the State of San Andreas.
