Governor Payne Issues Executive Order Recognizing International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month
LOS SANTOS — Governor Isabel Payne today signed Executive Order D26001, formally recognizing March 8 as International Women’s Day and proclaiming the month of March as Women’s History Month in the State of San Andreas.
The executive order honors the countless contributions women have made to the state’s history, economy, government, and communities, while encouraging residents and public institutions to reflect on the achievements and leadership of women throughout San Andreas and the nation.
“Women have shaped every part of our state—from our classrooms and hospitals to our businesses, our government, and our communities,” Governor Payne said. “International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month are an opportunity to recognize the women who have paved the way for progress and to reaffirm our commitment to a future where every woman and girl has the opportunity to succeed.”
The executive order encourages state agencies, schools, local governments, and community organizations to participate in recognizing Women’s History Month by highlighting women’s contributions to public service and promoting educational programming that explores the role of women in shaping the state’s history.
Women have long played a pivotal role in San Andreas’ development, serving as educators, innovators, public servants, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Today, women continue to lead across every sector of the state, including government, where they serve in key leadership roles throughout the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
Governor Payne also encouraged residents to take time throughout March to celebrate the women who have influenced their communities, families, and workplaces.
“Every generation of women has expanded the possibilities for the next,” Payne said. “This month we celebrate their achievements, their leadership, and their enduring impact on our state.”
